Brand Story

When Quintessence was evaluating a name to launch a new men’s cologne, they turned to ASPEN after conducting a national market research study.

In 1989, Aspen Licensing granted the license for men’s fragrance to Quintessence.

The product was successfully launched in the moderately priced cologne market and remains one of the highly desirable products today. Coty, Inc., the worlds largest fragrance company, acquired Quintessence in 1991. Recognizing the strength of the brand and the opportunity to expand the ASPEN collection, Coty purchased the ASPEN trademark rights for fragrances and cosmetics in 1992. The ASPEN Collection has been expanded to include; aftershave, lotions and womans perfumes. Coty continues to support this exceptional brand with large ad campaigns for sales in midlevel department stores, mass merchants, and national pharmacy chains.
